I purchased this phone mount/charger for a summer 2024 tour. It worked perfectly over three weeks and 6,000 miles, showing no signs of wear. The phone was secure on its bar mount. Tucked behind the windshield, it was protected from light rain (I removed the phone during heavy rain.) The charger clearly is waterproof--it was unaffected by heavy rain while riding, and with overnight parking outside hotels. There is no sunshade of course, so I mounted the unit behind a tinted windshield (my phone display is difficult to see in direct sunlight.) I highly recommend this mount. It kept my phone charged, securely, and in easy view.
