In smoke color, perfect pairin to the rear light. Love having the running lights. Much brighter and more noticeable than the factory ones and look much better to boot. Should have upgraded years ago.
Very happy with these LED lights, bike looks much more modern now, love the daytime running light inside it as well. Easy to install.

Julian wrote | 2016-11-23: I fitted my new Hornig LED DRL/turn signals to my R1100RT this evening, and have just come back from a short test drive at night in inclement weather. Bottom line: this is an excellent product, I'm very happy with these lights!
The DRLs face slightly outward and slightly downward, and are quite bright, which provides two incidental benefits:
1. They light up the road directly in front and to the side of the vehicle, which is very helpful in poor weather and makes for a very comfortable viewing experience with high beam, when one normally loses side visibility close up; and
2. They make excellent turning lights! Driving in the country or poorly lit areas the single regular headlight doesn't illuminate the road into which one is turning. These DRLs provide quite enough light at an appropriate angle so that one can see into the turn safely.
The turn signals are also excellent, the lens doing a great job of spreading the light over a wide range - a problem with simple replacement LED bulbs.
After watching the video I was going to remark that the contrast between turn signal on and DRL on isn't great, and that it would be better if the DRL on the turning side were held off for a full flash period to increase contrast, but having experienced the benefit of the DRL during a turn into an unlit road at night I am perfectly happy with the way they work.

For end users : I'd suggest that you also have on hand a few fully insulated crimp on quick disconnects, I got a few from a local electronics store, pulled out the female end on the OEM wire harnness side, was my bad.

The DRL function is cool and practical - anything that draws attention is great and helps keep me safe mixing it up with inattentive drivers. The only change I would make would be to use whiter (as in less blue) LEDs. I'd recommend them to anyone riding an RT.

They were very easy to connect, and fit extremely well, just like the original.
Mine are the grey version, and they look great. They were actually purchased for the DRL function, to improve the visibility to other road users, as the std headlight is not really visible unless looking directly from the front.
The white LED's are so bright, the light fills the entire area, and are very noticeable from all angles. even in bright sunlight they stand out.
I do have a HID bulb fitted to the headlight, the original being like a candle.. and now with these fitted, it is impossible not to notice. It actually looks like 3 headlights from the front, the colour match is superb. I need to send you a photo ! The pictures on this website don't do them justice, they are much better.
The indicators also have a good contrast and appear clear and bright, with a definite on/off rather than the fade in/out of a bulb.
At night, they look even brighter.
I have had comments from other bikers, saying how good they look, and I have to agree.. Well done Hornig !

Although the installation is relatively easy, it would have been good to have a bit more detailed installation guideline on how to connect the driver/running lights, that hang off the main lights of the BMW R100RT. I believe the color schemes are the same for all 1100RT models, so if an addition to the the install paper was made, using the "yellow" cable of the mainlight it would be helpfull. I personally used a different cable to make the intallation easier, which is a fixed cable (so no two different cables that are part of the shipment) which makes it easier to connect to the main light.
