Handlebar risers with offset: 30mm higher and 21mm closer to the rider

Raising the handlebar by 30mm results in a more upright, much more relaxed seating position. Moreover, the handlebar is brought 21mm closer to the rider which additionally improves driving comfort. The overall result is a noticeable increase in stamina and concentration. Long stretches on the motorway are less nerve-racking.
Fits on original 32mm handlebar.
Also referred to as handlebar risers, handlebar height increase, bar back risers, barbacks.

Install Instruction

When mounting the handlebar risers, you have to reposition the clutch cable (see install instruction).
If repositioning the clutch cable is too complex, you can also extend it with our special adapter (part no. 26865), which is sold separately.

Questions about this article

Is it possible to do exactly the opposite of what your handlebar risers do for a BMW R1250RS? I am tall and prefer a sporty riding position, so I wonder if the risers can be fitted in reverse to allow me to stretch further?
We have never tried this, but it will most likely not work. You will most likely encounter problems with the steering stop: The handlebars will touch the front fairing or windscreen. And the hoses and cables will also most likely not fit any longer. Maybe it would be a good solution to get another handlebar, but for this matter we would recommend to consult your local workshop.

The picture of the risers shows four screws but then you show four screws being required in additon. Are these screws included or a necessary addition?
Those screws are only required if you have the original SAT NAV mounted on the fork bridge and you want to reposition it. So if you have those special screws for the SAT NAV mount, but you don’t want to mount your GPS on the fork bridge again, you can order those screws and it will look neat again without the big screws. The screws for mounting the risers are included.

To install the 26207 on my R1250RS all I need more is the 26865? No other extras? No other extensions? No other brake lines?
When mounting the handlebar risers, you have to reposition the clutch cable (see install instruction). If repositioning the clutch cable is too complex, you can also extend it with our special adapter (part no. 26865).
No other extras or extensions are necessary.

Why can I not pull the clutch line as it is shown in the video / in the installation instruction?
The clutch line is fixed at the frame (behind the cooler) with a clamp (hose holder). You cannot see this clamp, you can only feel it when you grab along the clutch line with your hand. The holder must be opened and only then you can pull the clutch line (as shown in the video / installation instruction).

Do I need the additional screws (item 2534-520)?
BMW uses special screws with threads in their extended screw heads on the triple clamp in order to mount the navigation system there. If somebody does not want to mount the navigation system there anylonger, our shorter screws (2534-520) can be used. With these screws you do not have any disturbing screw heads with thread on the triple clamp. An elegant solution if you do not want to mount the support of the BMW GPS system on the triple clamp anylonger. Our short screws (2534-520) are not necessary for mounting the handlebar risers.
