The new BMW R nineT Racer and R nineT Pure

The new reduced roadster and the classic, half-faired sports motorcycle complement the BMW motorcycle world Heritage. The drive line and chassis are similar to the R nineT Scrambler. The two models dispose of a modular frame with individual scope for customizing. The frame consists of the three components: the front main frame, the rear main frame and the removable passenger frame, which can be changed with different seats from the range of Original BMW Motorcycle Accessories. While the front wheel control is taken care of by a conventional telescopic fork, at the rear the BMW Paralever comes into use in conjunction with a central spring strut. Of course, both R nine T models are designed to meet the requirements of the EU4 pollutant class. With a potent, air/oil-cooled boxer engine with a capacity of 1 170 cc combined with a 6-speed transmission, the motorcycle reaches an output of 81 kW (110 HP). The exhaust system is also installed in a classic style. The exhaust system with a stainless steel silencer on the left side is polished for the R nine T Racer and brushed for the R nine T Pure. The five-spoke light alloy cast wheels (sizes 3.5 x 17" at the front and 5.5 x 17" at the rear) have tyres in the dimensions 120/70 ZR 17 and 180/55 ZR 17. Wire-spoked wheels are an option that further emphasise the classic appearance. To reduce the problem of spinning of the rear wheel on slippery roads, BMW offers an ASC (Automatic Stability Control) option which is available ex works.


R nineT Pure:

With the creation of the new R nineT Pure, BMW payed attention to classic and aesthetic aspects. The puristic roadster for a classic riding pleasure was designed without frills and was reduced to the absolute essentials. In addition to that, BMW refined the motorcycle with some modern stylistic elements, such as footrests and fork bridges in forged aluminum with a clear anodized finish. The glorious plays of colours with Catalano Grey (non-metallic) and black underline the purism. The BMW R nineT Pure is offered in Germany at the price of 12.300,00 € incl. 19% VAT (RRP).

R nineT Racer:

While the R nine T Pure is designed to meet classic aspects, the R nine T Racer is based on sportiness. This is implemented by a crouched seat position with a hump seat, stub handlebars, set-back footrests and with its strikingly short half-fairing. The colour Lightwhite (non-metallic) with the frame finished in aluminum silver and the BMW Motorsport colors present an architectural contrast to the black drivetrain. The BMW R nineT Racer is available in Germany at the price of 13.300,00 € incl. 19% VAT (RRP).
