The new BMW R1300GS Adventure

BMW Motorrad raises the bar for adventure motorcycles with the R1300GS Adventure, delivering a model that combines outstanding technology and comfort, ready for any adventure. This new model builds on the success of the new 1300cc boxer engine introduced in September 2023 and scores with a mix of off-road capability and long-distance suitability. Powered by a 1,300 cubic centimeter Boxer engine delivering 145 hp at 7,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm, the R1300GS Adventure offers plenty of power for extended tours.

For improved off-road capability, the R1300GS Adventure features extended suspension travel: 210 millimeters in the front and 220 millimeters in the rear. The seat height can be varied between 870 and 890 millimeters depending on the seat configuration, ensuring optimal comfort. The Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) is available, adjusting damping and spring rate in real-time to the respective riding situation. Optionally, the adaptive vehicle height control automatically adjusts the ride height to the load condition. In the comfort version, the vehicle lowered by 30 millimeters when stopping, which is particularly advantageous in demanding terrain.

The R1300GS Adventure offers four standard riding modes: "Rain," "Road," "Eco," and the Enduro mode, which is specially optimized for off-road use. With Active Cruise Control (ACC), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Change Warning and the new Rear End Collision Warning (RECW), a significant plus in terms of protection and riding comfort is also on board. The new Rear End Collision Warning (RECW) features an innovative warning function that indicates an impending rear-end collision by flashing faster. This feature perfectly complements the safety package and significantly contributes to preventing rear-end collisions.

For long-distance travel, the 30-liter aluminium tank is a real advantage, ensuring an impressive range. The tank panelling houses a smartphone charging compartment and a rubberized storage area for on-the-go. Additionally, three mounting points on the tank offer space for extra storage. The extensive equipment is complemented by an aluminium top case and new aluminium side cases, featuring integrated magnetic couplings for USB charging sockets and lighting, as well as optional volume expansion. A large windshield with wind deflectors ensures optimal weather protection. The BMW R1300GS Adventure impresses not only in the standard version, but also in the Triple Black, GS Trophy and Option 719 Karakorum variants.
