Motorcycles for the racetrack and everyday life

2024-11-19 - Presentation of the new generation of M1000RR, S1000RR, M1000R and S1000R models

BMW Motorrad brings a fresh breeze to its range of sporty motorcycles with the new generation of M1000RR, S1000RR, M1000R, and S1000R models. The motorcycles have been further developed in terms of both performance and equipment and are certified for the Euro-5+ standard starting with the 2025 model year. A highlight is the newly introduced M Quick-Action Throttle, promising a more responsive throttle response due to a reduced rotational angle.

BMW M1000RR: More power and optimized aerodynamics

With the M1000RR, BMW Motorrad focuses on increased engine performance and improved aerodynamics. The engine now delivers 218 hp – an increase of 6 hp compared to its predecessor. With revised M Winglets 3.0, the aim is to achieve greater stability at high speeds. The frame (Flex Frame) has also been reinforced to optimize the motorcycle's load-bearing capacity. Additionally, the M1000RR features innovative rider assistance systems, such as a new steering angle sensor enabling slip and drift controls, as well as the brake slide assist to aid during braking. The model will continue to be available in the classic colour variants Lightwhite uni and Blackstorm metallic with the typical M graphics.

With the standard “Riding Modes Pro” package, riders gain access to various modes like “Race Pro” and “Engine Brake,” tailored for racetrack use. A five-way adjustable ABS and the new “Slick” setting for racing tires further enhance control and safety. The Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) is now also featured as standard. The S1000RR is offered in Blackstorm metallic as the base variant, Bluestone metallic in the Sport version, and as the M Motorsport variant in Lightwhite uni with M design.

Colours like Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport and the new White Aluminium metallic matt offer various design options, and the model is also available in the M Competition version in Blackstorm metallic/M Motorsport. The traction control system of the M1000R has been further developed, now following the strategies of the RR models.
